Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) is the main educational institution with economic profile in Moldova and cooperates with over 150 universities world-wide. Since 1991, striving for excellence, the ASEM takes unique initiatives to stimulate high standards in education, internationally competitive research and entrepreneurial approach. With over 10.000 students and 1000 academic staff, the ASEM enjoys a high prestige at national & international levels. Currently, ASEM comprises 6 faculties with 26 departments, two auxiliary departments, seven centers, Master School of Excellence in Economics and Business, Doctoral School, School of Tourism and Hotel Services, a business incubator and National College of Commerce. In order to support the European integration process of Moldova, the ASEM founded the Centre for Studies in European Integration (CSIE.ASEM) in 2009, as an autonomous inter-faculties department. CSEI’s mission is to integrate interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary resources in the field of European integration and to contribute to the development of the European dimension of education and training, to promote research and consultancy, information and documentation in the area of European studies. CSEI comprises of numerous researchers and teachers, who are regularly engaged in teaching, research, consulting, expertise services, education and training programmes in Moldova and abroad in the field of EU studies. CSEI cooperates with the Doctoral schools in Moldova in order to promote European doctoral education and enhance the visibility of scientific resources and results in the field of European integration process through the organising of different scientific events. Today, CSIE.ASEM is an academic Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence that comprises of numerous researchers and teachers, who are regularly engaged in teaching, research, consulting, expertise services, education and training programmes in Moldova and abroad in the field of EU studies. CSIE.ASEM cooperates with the Doctoral schools in Moldova in order to promote European doctoral education and enhance the visibility of scientific resources and results in the field of European integration process through the organising of different scientific events. TEAM COORDINATOR: prof.dr. Olesea SIRBU
Olesea SIRBU is an associate professor (PhD in economy) and a Director of the Centre for Studies in European integration at the ASEM. She has 17 years of teaching experience which is characterized by innovative teaching and learning methods that put a strong emphasis on the use of modern ICT and on students’ team work. She has experience in curriculum development of education & training programmes for Moldovan and EU universities. Dr. Sirbu has experience in project`s design and coordination of the EU projects within the following programmes: TEMPUS, Erasmsus+, Erasmus Mundus (EMA3), Jean Monnet (IRA, Chair), FP7-Marie Curie (IRSES) and Europe Aid. Specific qualifications: EU economic integration, regional and cross-border development, innovative entrepreneurship development.
Rodica CRUDU is an associate professor at the International Economic Relations Department (ASEM).  She has delivered proof of great dynamism in the promoting teaching excellence in the field of European Studies (by organising a spring school in European Economic Integration) and great involvement in dissemination knowledge on  European Integration and effects of Moldova’s European integration (by organising several Round Tables, workshop, seminars, conferences on different topics related to the European Integration). Dr. CRUDU has experience in coordination and participation within EU projects within the following programmes: TEMPUS, Erasmus Mundus, Jean Monnet, CBC projects. Also, has participated as main researcher in 2 research projects financed by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
Maia PISANIUC is Pisaniuc Maia is associate professor, PhD at the International Economic Relations Chair, International Economic Relations Faculty of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. She is President of Specialized Scientific Seminar of the International Economics specialization. Her areas of research are: European economic integration, cross-border cooperation, world economy, international management. Mrs. Pisaniuc has an experience of about 15 years in the economic field and more than 30 publications. She worked in 5 international research projects as scientific coordinator, one of them entitled “Reconfiguring the financial system in Moldova under the criteria of efficiency in the context of the Association Agreement between the European Union and Moldova” (2015) “The optimization of economic growth policies in the integration process of Moldova in the European Union” (2014). In 2009 she was a project director of an international scientific project. She is co-author of the monograph “Regional Economic Integration and Cooperation” and of the book “World Economy”. She is a member of Advisory Council of the Journal “Business and Economic Horizons (BEH)”, Prague and member of editorial board of “Ecoforum”, Romania.
Larisa DODU-GUGEA holds PhD in economy (specialisation International Economic Relations) and lectures at various universities in Moldova on the topics EU trade Policy and competitiveness. Specific qualifications: EU trade policy, EU competition policy, competitiveness and innovation Her expertise is crucial to her role as Academic coordinator of the event dealing with the EU trade Policy towards Moldova with main focus on Deep and Comprehensive Trade Area. Role in the project: research, events deliverable activities.
Marina POPA is a university lecturer at the International Economic Relations Department (ASEM). She is a PhD student and proved to be a very active in promoting European Union’s values as being the leader and coordinator of EuroClub in ASEM. EuroClub is an association of students launched on 5th September 2011 at the initiative of EU Delegation to Moldova, with the objectives: to integrate students into a society of European values; to develop students’ communication, team work abilities; to initiate international dialogues with similar EuroClubs from abroad and relevant European NGOs; to support Moldova’s efforts to integrate into European Union; to promote Moldova’s image on European environment etc. Worked as researcher in two research projects financed by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova Role in the project: research, events deliverable activities.

PROJECT TEAM
