The decision to found European Studies Center within Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences of Moldova State University was adopted by the Moldova State University Senate in December 2011 (Protocol nr.6 of  meeting Moldova State University Senate from 27th December 2011). On the base of the same decision as Director of the European Studies Center was appointed Mr. Vasilescu Grigore, Doctor Habilitatus, Professor. In accordance with the Moldova State University Senate decision was issued the Rector’s decree regarding European Studies Center foundation and appointment of the Mr. Vasilescu Grigore as its Director (Decree nr.12 from 18.01.2012). The main task of the European Studies Center is to contribute essentially to the further development of the European Studies in the Republic of Moldova as an important part of the general education process of the country and for European integration objectives fulfillment. The center has the mission to contribute to cultural, scientific and educational development of the Republic of Moldova, to serve as a support in the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova and country preparation for future accession to EU. During is existence the center developed diverse educational, didactic and scientific activities. Hence the center traditionally organizes activities dedicated to the Europe’s Day, inclusively round tables, conferences, seminars, essay contests on European issues. In collaboration with European Studies Center of Al.I.Cuza University, Iasi, Romania, the center organized a range of seminars Jean Monnet with generic “Romania and the Republic of Moldova in the regional context” in 2012, 2013, and 2014 with participation of students, MA students, PhD students and lecturers of the Moldova State University and other universities and experts in European integration from Iasi. Also, the center organized different European actions with participation of officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova and national and international experts. Recently, in collaboration with the European Studies Center from Iasi and International Relations Department of the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences of Moldova State University the center developed on 12th November 2015 the round table “The necessity to engage: the Eastern Partnership and grassroots involvement” with participation of the specialists of the Moldova State University, Iasi University and other institutions from the republic.
TEAM COORDINATOR: prof.dr. Vasilescu Grigore
Grigore VASILESCU  is Doctor Habilitatus, Professor, International Relations Department of the Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences of Moldova State University, Director of  European Studies Center of Moldova State University. High qualified specialist with more than 30 years of activity in scientific and higher education institutions, also in quality of chairman of chairs, chairman of some organisations, NGOs, scientific leader in doctoral degreas etc. Substantial experience in colaboration with diferent Embassies and international organizations, such as World Bank, UNDP, European Commission etc. in organization and management of innovative projects. Highlighting management capacities in organization and coordinating of different projects, national and international conferences, workshops, in elaboration and publication of different materials, books, periodical editions etc.Strong capacities in elaboration of training design, training materials and delivering of training courses and workshops. Skills in application of participatory techniques for conducting the training. Role in the project: local coordinator, teaching, research, events deliverable activities.
Cristina MORARI  is specialized in European Studies. PhD thesis, which is in the process of defence, is about external and internal dimensions of European integration process. Didactic experience in teaching courses of European integration issues. Experience as project assistant. Experience in elaboration and development of readings, training materials, etc. Have strong abilities in organizing of different scientific and didactic events: national and international conferences, trainings, round-tables, seminars etc.  Have very good capacities for team work and good communication skill. Role in the project: research, events deliverable activities.
Ejov Crisina is PhD in Political Sciences, Associate Professor, Vice Dean. Workplace: Moldova State University, Faculty of International Relations, Political and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations. High qualified specialist with more than 10 years of activity in higher education institutions, for 6 years deputy chief of the Department of International relations, for 2 years Vice Dean of the Faculty. Member of national scientific accreditation commision (2014). Have strong abilities in organizing of different scientific and didactic events: national and international conferences, trainings, round-tables, seminars etc. and capacity to work in a team and with the highest level of governmental and non-governmental officials. Role in the project: research, events deliverable activities.

PROJECT TEAM

Andrei Enachi is Diplomat, lecturer, PhD student. Expert on Yoth Work and Youth Policy. Research subjects: migration, diaspora, development, European studies, European identity, American studies. Role in the project: research, events deliverable activities.
